Regional Financial Planning is a leading local financial planning service provider, located in Rockhampton.
Established in 2007, borne from a partnership between Greg Schmidt & Associates Pty Ltd and David Bow & Associates Pty Ltd and Regional Insurance Brokers (CQ) Pty Ltd.

In 2014 further growing its Regional footprint with the acquirement of the Rockhampton based planning firm Johnson Wigginton Kennard (JWK).

For the past 12 years we have been part of the Regional Insurance Brokers group which today has over 150 staff and office locations stretching from Cairns to Brisbane Combined with Regional's offices located throughout central Queensland, Regional Financial Planning is well placed to provide qualified and timely service and expertise to our large and diverse clientele both within and outside of the central and northern regions.

Jeffrey Lanyon

Jeff is a passionate CQ local with over 19 years of Financial Services experience. He's a familiar face in our Rockhampton office, but his reach extends far beyond – Jeff proudly serves clients across Australia.
Jeff is a fully qualified Financial Adviser with a deep passion for personal insurance. He thrives on connecting with clients and building strong relationships throughout the advice process. "I work closely with clients to truly understand their lifestyle and financial aspirations," Jeff says.

Les Wigginton
Director / Senior Risk Specialist

Based in our Rockhampton office, Les has been a dedicated financial services professional for over 25 years, becoming a licensed financial planner in 2004 and previously partnering in his own practice, Johnson Wigginton Kennard (JWK). He joined the Regional Group in 2014, which now forms part of Regional Financial Planning. Les works with clients across Australia.

Les is a fully qualified Financial Adviser with a strong focus and passion for personal and business insurance. He currently manages the Regional Financial Planning team across three locations.

Outside of Regional Financial Planning, Les enjoys exploring the great outdoors.
Carley Saunders
Client Services Administrator
Carley has been a valued member of the Regional Financial Planning team in Rockhampton since 2019, providing comprehensive administrative support.
She serves as a key point of contact for clients throughout the advice process, working closely with the administrative team to ensure client information is managed accurately and efficiently.
In her free time, she enjoys exploring the great outdoors.
Tamara Romyn
Client Services Administrator
Tamara has been a valued member of the Regional Financial Planning team in Rockhampton since 2018, providing comprehensive administrative support.
She serves as a key point of contact for clients throughout the advice process, working closely with the administrative team to ensure client information is managed accurately and efficiently.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and relaxing at the beach.
Bryanna Sparrow
Client Services Administrator
Bryanna returned to Regional Financial Planning in 2023, bringing valuable experience from her previous role as a financial advisor.
Now working part-time, Bryanna focuses on providing dedicated support in claims processing. She plays a vital role in our commitment to providing seamless and efficient claims service to our clients, ensuring they receive the support they need during challenging times.
